Overview
This track is well suited for interval training thanks to its long climb and moderately fast descent. The asphalt is generally in good condition, but it is advisable to inspect the route before training, as pine cones, small branches, and other debris may occasionally be present on the pavement.
To ski here safely, you should be comfortable handling one relatively steep descent and steering through a gentler downhill section. In addition, the long climb can be physically demanding.
Vehicles can cross the first part of the track from time to time. The crossing is overviewable and the traffic is rare, but it’s still something to always keep in mind.
The track is somewhat remote, especially when approaching from Tampere, as the final access is via a gravel road. Make sure to bring all necessary equipment, food, and drinks, as there are no nearby services.
