Overview
The Västerby roller ski track is one of the hidden gems of Uusimaa. Located away from the crowds in beautiful Nordic surroundings, it provides a very enjoyable training environment.
The profile is demanding and keeps things interesting throughout the lap: the track is never flat, always either climbing or descending. The climbs require proper work, but you are constantly rewarded with brisk, flowing descents.
The track’s signature feature is a technical off-camber sweeping corner at the very top, opening into a fast descent. If you keep your speed through this section, the descent gives you a short recovery and saves roughly a third of the steep climb on the way back.
