The Technical Climb track was completed in 2024 and features a number of shortcuts that allow you to skip the steepest climbs and faster descents. This makes the layout flexible and allows skiers to choose a route that matches their confidence and ability.
Fig. 2: Go right for a steep climb, go left for a moderate climb and a fast descent, or make a U-turn to keep your speed below 40 km/h:
One of the more challenging sections is a 90-degree corner at the end of a long descent. While the corner can be challenging, it allows you to gradually build up confidence rather than forcing you to go all-in from the start. We would personally prefer to see it replaced with a bowl turn, which would provide a little more peace of mind at speed. However, the current layout may well have been designed with the specific needs of professional skiing in mind.
The track is wide throughout, making overtaking easy even when the track is busy. The asphalt quality is perfect.
